Fear and the Affordable Health Care Act

Oct. 24, 2013

This week observers note the aftermath of fear taking over and controlling a powerful nation and its leaders.  Most of its people recognized fear and what it was doing; these people did their best to not give fear food, water or nurturance of any kind.

This was difficult to do.  Observers noticed elected officials trained in law and public service by some of the finest universities to ever exist forget the founding principles upon which the United States of America rests.  Some of these principles are part of this nation’s oral tradition, some are written and some are written and included in the governing document, the Constitution.

The founding principles that were overlooked the most are:

  • The majority rules; the minority is respected and listened to; its concerns are addressed, but the majority rules.
  • The Supreme Court has the final say when various parties can’t settle a disagreement; the Supreme Court gave its nod of approval to the Affordable Health Care Act; end of story; that’s America’s tradition.
  • The Office of the President is respected.  It doesn’t matter who is president, the Office, itself, is respected.  In other words, the proper and respectful title of the legal entity in dispute is the Affordable Health Care Act; to call it anything else is degrading, demeaning, low-class and disrespects the highest office in America.

All sides in the dispute about the Affordable Health Care Act have legitimate concerns.  Most of the time, the people who create legislation like the Affordable Health Care Act are attempting to solve a problem.   Often, their attempts don’t work, and unintended consequences appear.

It’s America’s tradition to either throw money at a problem, or legislate the problem out of existence; neither of these actions work.  Usually the problem remains and fraud, in many disguises, broadens the problem.

It’s time to turn to the angels for help.

Angels of all of us,

As you know, the people of the United States of America are a generous, caring and law-abiding people.  We are, also, an observant people.  We notice when life in this country is not as great and wonderful as it should be.  We recognize when citizens of other nations are in difficulty and often attempt to help them out of their problem.  The great majority of us want health, prosperity, acceptance and tolerance for all people everywhere.

At the moment, the focus is on health.  Many of our people haven’t good health.  Angels of all of us, we ask that all of us be lead to take the actions that make us healthy; that each of us accepts the responsibility of keeping our Self, our family and our community healthy; that we learn to do this without the help of any entity but Spirit and those who dwell in the Invisible.

We ask that our personal angels guide us to change what must be changed so that we are healthy and strong in all ways: physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially.

This is Rev. Barbara.  I’m making this request on behave of all people everywhere, no matter their location or tradition.  It’s time that traditions of ill health in any area of our planet be sent back to the void and replaced with traditions of strength, honor and health.

Angels of all of us,

Please make us aware of the actions we must take to be strong and healthy in all areas of life.  Help us to put these actions into practice.

We thank you.

Sweet and Sour

Oct. 13, 2013

This past week, I met with a group of women who were discussing unexpected set-backs in the bringing forth of their idea.  Most of us expect set-backs; they’re a normal part of life especially when doing something new.  We have a sense of what they’ll be, when they’ll occur and why.

Sometimes, however, we experience a delay that is so out-of-the-ordinary that it takes our breath.  One of the women was describing her take-the-breath experience when a woman interrupted and said, “I need some sweet tea.  Right now.”

This woman is diabetic; her demand was immediately met.  After a few sips, she explained as she nodded to the woman who had been speaking, “Your experience was so sour, I had to have something sweet to counter it.”

The speaker responded, “Your comments explain what has been happening this week.  Usually, I don’t crave sweets, but this past week, I have had an intense desire for them.  Plus, a piece or two didn’t satisfy.  I wanted the entire cake, or pie, or package of cookies.  Sometimes, I wanted more than the whole thing.  I was ready to make an appointment with my doctor; this behavior is so out of character for me that I thought something was physically wrong; but, you’ve just explained everything: my situation was so sour, I needed a lot of sweet to counter it.”

This need to counter the sourness of life with sweetness is true for all of us; it’s especially true for diabetic persons and those in crisis, or take-your-breath set-backs.

Ask the Angels

Angels of all of us,

When we are in the sourness of life, remind us to counter it with sweet.  The sweetness of your presence, guidance and protection counters sour.

Help us to gain from the sour.  Both sweet and sour are needed, but sour need not be destructive; it can simply be a way to bring in certain data.

Since sour is part of this life experience, teach us to experience sour in a positive light.  Help us gain from sour, thank it  and quickly let it go.

This is Rev. Barbara.  I’m speaking for my Self and for all those who are open and receptive to the presence and guidance from you angels.  I’m speaking for all those who are open and receptive to this word and the inspiration, encouragement and knowledge it brings.

Angels of all of us,

We rejoice in sweet and in sour; both bring us needed data.  So that sour doesn’t dominate our experience of Life, we consciously include sweet at all times.  We plan for sweet experiences; we partake of sweet daily.  We keep track of sweet so that we know we are getting more than enough of it.

When we are encountering sour, we add additional sweet to our experience.  We might go for a walk or swim, speak with friends, read an inspirational piece, pray, meditate, watch TV, participate in a team sport or volunteer in our community, We live Life, both the sweet and the sour.  We are grateful for both.  We gain from both; both help strengthen our idea and us.

We thank the angels for being with us, for reminding us that sour is necessary and that sweet is its counter.

And so it is.

Someone wrote, “Vengeance must walk out before love can walk in.”

Considering recent world events, vengeance has a strong hold on the thoughts and actions of many persons.  The desire for revenge has taken over; rage controls us.

When rage takes over, before we know it, we, our Self,  are out-of-control.  Unless someone or thing intervenes, we can become a pawn for those who serve the dark.; we can find our Self speaking words, or doing actions that we may regret.

Recently, this happened to me.  Until a certain Congresswoman spoke about how she was working and therefore, should be paid, I had no idea that I was extremely angry about the US government shutdown and the lack of respect or caring shown for its employees by the Congress, the elected officials of this land.

I am so grateful I was alone and in my home so that only the Universe, God and the angels heard my words, or felt my rage.

I became calm, realized that my anger solved nothing, and let it go.  I made a short list of what I can control about this situation–me–and what I could not–Congress; and then, quickly spoke to the angels:

Angels of all of us,

I remember that I am an empath; I quickly and accurately read others, and I know how to respond to this reading so that all is well.

I have a strong, clear inner voice, the voice of God; some people call this strong inner voice, intuition.  The name doesn’t matter; what matters is I know it exists for my highest good, therefore, I tune in and listen to its guidance and information.

I ask that all of us be guided to  be at peace, to speak words of wisdom and to do that which produces love.

This is Rev. Barbara.  I speak for all who are open and receptive to the letting go of rage, vengeance and revenge.  I speak for those who are willing to receive guidance on how to achieve the calling on their life: a calling to make peace, prosperity, health and growth possible for all beings everywhere.  I speak for those who desire to be servants of the Light.

Angels of all of us,

There is much greatness, beauty and love in our world.  Help us to identify these elements and to cherish them.  We know that you, the Angels of all of us, protect and strengthen these elements; we need only appreciate and value them.

Strengthen our abilities to instantly know the truth of a situation, and then, strengthen our knowing how to respond to all situations so that all is well and so that we demonstrate that we are servants of the Light.

I thank you, Angels of all of us.  Thank you for hearing this Word and for responding to it.

Peace to all,

Rev. Barbara
