Hi Everyone,

A friend has re entered a deep state of depression. She is almost lifeless, unable to leave her bed. I was shocked to see her in such condition.

Lesli is a gifted healer. She and I have attended many trainings together and have studied under many of the same teachers.

I know that she knows how to heal others and herself. She practices good health. So. What happened?

The Choice
Lesli’s first bout with severe depression happened when her husband died. She didn’t leave her bed for three whole years after his passing.

She finally went to a medical doctor and got a prescription, actually took it and so greatly improved that she resumed her healing consulting practice.

She was doing great, so great that she stopped taking the medicine, and the result is what we have today: a gifted healer, a fabulous human being, who hasn’t the energy to do anything but stare into space.

The Misunderstanding
Ernest Holmes, the founder of Religious Science/Science of the Mind, said that someday medicine and spirituality would walk hand-in-hand, that they are both from God and are meant to work as a cooperative whole.

That day is now. It has taken me nearly a lifetime to go to the medical people and the spiritual/energy healers without feeling guilt or feeling that I am betraying someone.

I have stopped feeling ashamed and like a failure when spiritual practice appears to not produce the result I’m after.

Lesli hasn’t learned to do this yet. She felt that she was being bad and doing something wrong by taking the medicine. She believed that she wasn’t practicing what she preached; that she wasn’t setting a good example. So, she stopped taking the meds, and we have the result: a gifted healer unable to guide others to their healing.

The Solution
I go to the medical doctors. I listen to what they say, do what they say unless my body or guidance tells me otherwise. And, while doing this, I go to my spiritual/energy healers. Again, I listen to my body and my guidance. I observe the results being produced.

The key to walking hand-in-hand with medical science and spirituality is being connected to your own guidance and to your own body.  Listen and observe. Be inclusive rather than exclusive. Know your boundaries. Know what you’re willing to do and what you’re not.

For example, I refuse to take any drug or do any action that interferes with my thinking.

For example, when I was young, a doctor wanted to cut off one of my fingers because it had a small infection. I refused to allow it. I played piano at the time and would rather die then give that up. I no longer play, but I have all my fingers.

The problem is knowing when to walk away from the healers—medical, spiritual, energy or others—and when to do exactly what they say.

For this knowing, we go to the angels of all of us.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of all of us,

We are so very grateful that you have made yourselves known to us. We are thankful for your guidance, nurturance and support. We value the information, ideas and energy you bring to us.

Thank you for letting us see glimpses of you, for allowing us to sense your presence and to feel you touching our body. It is so reassuring to have this connection.

Today we are seeking to understand the best practice for maintaining and renewing health.
We seek to increase our hearing of the signals sent by our bodies, minds and spirits.  We want to understand these signals and to know how to respond to them. We want to trust what we are hearing and feeling.

But, most of all, we simply want to know the best way to keep us as healthy, whole beings who enjoy robust health and all the elements of that condition.

We are open to receiving messages from you about what to do and what to avoid. We are willing to develop a good health practice for we know that what we practice is what we have.

We are willing to at least listen and observe new ideas and new information. We are willing to include ideas from other practices that produce good health.

We know that our willingness opens the channel for ideas and information to come forth. We are willing for you to be the gate keeper and filter out before it reaches us worthless and harmful information.

We give thanks for all that you do for us. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
And so it is.

Peace to all,

Hi Everyone,

Oprah, in her June 2015 magazine, states, “Your primary job is to take care of yourself. You’ve got to decide to make your health and well-being your priority; otherwise, you run out of oxygen. You become deflated and weakened and lose the will to keep going.”

How very true! I’ve decided to make my health and well-being my primary goal from here to death.  Not my husband’s or children’s; my extended family’s or community’s; just mine.

It would be wrong of me to do otherwise. Many depend upon me to be a focused, clear, fully present human being. I can’t do what I was sent to the planet to do if I am weak and failing. Neither can you.

Not Easy

However, this is not—this care-taking of the self—an easy task. Many of us have been taught to put our self last, if we get on the list at all. People who do self-care are called names like selfish and mean. There is little support for self-care thinking or doing in the culture.

However, there is one group that will gladly support us, the angels.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We are so very happy and so very grateful to know that you exist and that we communicate with you.

We are glad for you healing presence, your support and nurturance.

We feel your presence and are very much aware of your activity in our environments. It is nice to catch glimpses of you and to feel your touch.

So, we come to you because we are making a change: we have formed the intention of putting our health and well-being first. We have decided to establish a personal health practice.

With this practice, it is our intention to care for, to establish, to re establish, to maintain and to extend our physical, mental, spiritual and financial health.

We easily and effortlessly establish the routines and habits that fulfill this intention.

We know that you collect and send the ideas, information, energy and support that cause this intention to be a physical reality. We easily receive these and put everything to good use.

Starting right here and right now, we have the physical stamina for the long haul. Our thinking is crisp and focused. We accept the guidance from our spirit. We joyfully accomplish what we set out to do.

As a result, our finances are in order, and we live in the overflow of all good.

We rejoice in this and give thanks.

We send this word not only to the angels of all of us, but to the Creator and Organizer of all there is, was and will be, to the action of Universal Law and to the Quantum field where all thought plus energy becomes physical form.

And so it is.

Variations of Light and Dark

Variations of Light and Dark

May 11, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I spent yesterday, Mother’s Day 2015, at the Spruill Art Center near Atlanta, GA. The discussion was about value, the degrees of lightness, darkness and everything in between light and dark that show up in works of art.

Light, dark and in between these appear in our personal lives, also. All are needed to bring forth a great life.

It’s difficult to accept this because most of us hate the periods of darkness and with good reason. These dark periods of our life seem heavy, unbearable and never ending. We want to pass thru them easily and quickly.

When in darkness, it’s important to remember that we are surrounded by light. The areas of in between are our passage way to this light. In other words, there is a way out of darkness, out of what we call ‘the bad times’.

Even though we know this, it’s nice to have someone remind us of how to get to the light, someone who will tell us that “That all is well; that this too shall pass; and, everything is and will be okay”.

I call upon the angels for this very purpose. Join me in that call.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We give thanks for your presence in our life. We know you are messengers, supporters and helpers. We are grateful for your information, encouragement and guidance.

We have come to understand that the light, the dark and all their variations are required in order to have a life lived well.  These values and how we use them give our life majesty and greatness. For this understanding and our use of it, we give thanks.

At the moment, many of us are in a dark period. Even though we know this won’t last, we ask for your guidance to pass through this darkness as easily and effortlessly as possible.

Some of us are having a difficult time forgiving those who brought on the darkness. Help us to forgive and let go.

Also, we ask to clearly understand our part in creating this dark period so that we don’t think or believe or do whatever our part in this is again.

We ask that we be guided to one of the many passage ways that take us from dark to light.

We ask that as we go from dark to less dark , and then to even lesser dark that we easily identify and receive the ideas, information, energy and support that will aid our safe passage.

We give thanks and our grateful for all that the Angels of All of Us do for us.

And so it is.

Birthday Plan

May 5, 2015

Hi Everyone,

May 2, last Saturday, was my 69th birthday. Wow! To have made it this long!

I usually make a list of what I want to achieve in my next year. I haven’t done that yet.  Don’t know why.

I look at the coming year and come up blank.  This is not good. I use this list as a guide, no list, no guide.

It’s time to go to the angels of all of us. I’ve struggled long enough.

Anyone having difficulty choosing goals, come. Join me in asking the angels for help.

Angels of all of us

Angels of all of us,
We are grateful that we know you exist, that you hear us, that you respond to us.

As you know, on each birthday I make a list of what I want to experience in my new year. I usually include travel, health, relationships, education and any changes I’m considering.

I haven’t done this yet for my new year. There’s lots I want to experience. I have plenty of ideas and possibilities. Lack of choices isn’t the problem.  Don’t know what is.

I turn this over to you, the angels of all of us.  Send some enthusiasm my way, please. Add some anticipation of the good, the amazing, the magnificent.

Remove whatever is blocking my planning a fabulous, fantastic, amazing new year.

Guide me to the plan that is perfect for me. Guide all of us who so desire to what is wonderful, awesome and magnificent.

Thank you.  We are grateful for all you do for us.

And so it is.
