Nov. 24, 2015

Hi Everyone,
The military calls them collateral damage; the medical profession talks about side effects; and, the rest of us talk about fall out or unintended consequences.

What am I talking about?

I’m talking about all the unexpected results that show up when we go for what we want.  Sometimes, these results are good; and, sometimes they aren’t.  Some can be avoided; most cannot.

In life, there are going to be additional and unexpected, totally out of the blue, results. How we handle them is what matters.

A friend of mine, Kate, took a look at the possible effect of being a nail technician for most of her life, didn’t like the possible impact on her breathing system, and became a realtor. Today, she has several kinds of realtor licenses, is a more than decent plumber, electrician, carpenter, landscaper and bookkeeper.

She has become a very good judge of character. She knows who’s going to be a good tenant and who isn’t.  When she has to hire professional tradesmen, she knows who to select.

Her mother is amazed that her beauty queen daughter is now more at home in a hard ware store than the cosmetic counter of a department store.

When Kate opened the door marked realtor, she had no idea, couldn’t have possibly predicted, these particular side effects of her choice. She had no idea that she would be far happier talking about tools then about lipstick.

Beatrice is a business associate who lives in Holland. We’ve never met face-to-face. Her goal was to write and publish a book on Amazon Kindle. She had no idea that getting this one result—her book written and published—would lead to the establishment of her very own, successful publishing company.

A second side effect of the result of her book being published is that her family is stronger. She is so busy with her new company that she has to schedule family time and vacations.

The schedule has forced her to be conscious of how much time she actually spends with her family. She allows nothing to interfere with the family schedule. When she is with family, she is totally focused on them.

Unintended Consequences
It’s getting near the time when we will set new goals. Before we do that, let us look at current goals. Let us examine what we’ve accomplished.

Look to see the unintended consequences of our actions. This is easier to do if you select one accomplishment of this past year, and list the results that came of that achievement.

For example, this past year I accomplished a life-long goal of becoming a painter. When I did this, I had no idea that I would, also, develop skill in photography of two dimensional objects, nor did I realize that I would find another technique for self-healing, nor did I know that I would learn the skills in producing a paperback book.

I, also, became overwhelmed with too much to do, and have given serious thought to working with a business coach.

When you finish your list, take a look and ask, “Could any of this been predicted? Is any of it detrimental? What surprised you? Of all the unintended consequences, which are you most grateful for?”

And, has always, we go to the Angels of All of Us for guidance, support and feedback.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of All of Us,
We are so very grateful that you are part of our life experience. Thank you for all that you do for us.

We are preparing for a new year by examining this past year. We’ve selected an achievement and are listing the by-products of that work.

We ask for your help in becoming aware of all the results of our success. We know that nothing is done in isolation and that little is contained within one space.

We ask for guidance in determining if our unintended consequences followed the principle of choosing what does the most good world-wide while doing the least harm to our self.

We asked for help in tweaking what we’ve done so that we are very aware of what to let go and what to keep.

We are grateful for who and what we are. We are grateful for each opportunity to use our self to make a contribution to Life.

We celebrate life and our part in it.

And so it is.

Mrs. David Stuart

Nov. 16, 2015

Hi Everyone,
Most of the time, power comes when we choose our self to be the one instead of waiting to be chosen, or waiting to be asked.

When Mrs. David Stuart, the wife of a farmer/steel worker in my growing-up, Appalachian farming community, found out about telephones and decided she wanted one, she went to the phone company.

Someone there told her she had to have a petition with 50 names on it, and then the phone company would string the wire and put in the poles so that she could have a phone.

Someone at the phone company wrote the petition for her. Like most people of that time and place, Mrs. Stuart barely had a sixth grade education.

She came home, and the next day after the men folk went to work, she walked from house to house—there were no two-car families in those days— and got the wives to sign her petition.

No one dared say, “I have to wait and ask permission from my husband.” No woman refused to sign.

Mrs. Stuart got her fifty names and her telephone. When the men folk protested, the phone company only said that fifty people requested phone service, so, of course, they had to give it to them. Done deal. End of story.

Mrs. Stuart did not wait for someone to choose her, to appoint her, to get telephone service to her community. She chose herself.

We can do the same. We can choose our self to be the one to bring newness, or to change a situation or circumstance.

And, we can do this with the help of Mother/Father God and the angels.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of all of us,
We are grateful that we know that knowing is more powerful than believing.

We know that Mother/Father God and you angels are with us 24/7, in the rain and in the sunlight. We are never alone and we are never without ideas, information, energy, support, nurturance and protection.

For this, we give thanks.

We see what has to be done; we choose our self to be the doer knowing that all is and will be well.

We give thanks for all our accomplishments and for your support.
And so it is.

World Vision

Nov. 10, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I will be speaking at the Center for Spiritual Living West Georgia this coming Sunday, Nov. 15.  My topic is: Cause and Effect: the maker of freedom.

I am using the words of Dr. Carol Carnes in her Nov 9 blog to explain my topic:

“I live in a world of effortless justice and right action. My government is involved in the creation of world peace.  It is populated with awakened individuals who have the highest vision for a world that supports the freedom of all people.

My country is spiritually motivated from the center of wholeness. There is only fairness and inclusivity in its decisions and laws.

We are a joyful people who love and care for our environment. We, the people, hold the key to our shared reality.

We proclaim loudly that this world and everything in it is the out-picturing of our love and intelligence. We vote for the highest visionaries with the greatest integrity.

Those people emerge in our midst as if they have been just waiting for us to call them out.

Things change dramatically for the better, very quickly and very effortlessly without chaos or upheaval. It is as if we suddenly know the truth and it has set us free.”

And so it is.

I am requesting that each of us except these thoughts as our own and speak them daily until they become real in each part of our planet.

Called to Leadership

Nov. 1, 2015
Hi Everyone,
We have three special days of celebration at the end of October and beginning of November.

There is Halloween, October 31. This is the day when the veil separating the dead from the living is thinner than usual.

Today Sunday Nov. 1 is All Saints Day. This is the day Christians celebrate all saints, known and unknown.

Tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 2 is All Souls Day. This is the day Christians honor all who’ve passed over (died).

The Ancestors
Notice that these days are about the ancestors, those who came before us and our acknowledging and thanking them.

We honor them for getting us to where we are today, for leading the way, for making a clear path.

If we are among the living, then we are responsible for getting our people to a new place, for being the leaders, for making a new and clear path. We are the front-runners.

Many hide from leadership. They pretend that they don’t hear the call. Who can blame them? It is a very difficult job.

The only way—I don’t care if you answer the call to be a leader, or you continue to pretend you don’t hear—to be a leader is with the help of Mother/Father God , our personal angels and the angels of all of us.

We go to them now.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of All of Us
We are so very grateful that Mother/Father God, our personal angels and the angels of all of us make themselves known to us.

We know that knowing is more powerful than believing; therefore, we know
that the energy of the Divine flows in, as, through and around us. We know that this energy easily restores, recreates, rejuvenates and renews every piece of our beingness.

We feel this healing in our bodies, minds, emotions and souls. We see the results show up in our finances, health, relationships and work.

We celebrate. We rejoice. We enter into the peace that passes all understanding.

We know that we are supported in all that we do. We know we are constantly given the ideas, information and energy to accomplish anything we so choose.

As we state our willingness to do what we are called to do, courage and enlightenment comes. We know exactly what to do, say and be.

Success comes.

We give thanks. We are grateful. We release our knowing into the Mind of Mother/Father God, into the action of Universal Law and into the Field of all Possibilities where the angels stand ready to help in all ways possible.
And so it is.
