Sept. 19, 2017
If there was ever a time, all of us need to call upon the angels, archangels and company of heaven it is now.
I heard pieces of the speech the current occupant of the US White House said today, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the United Nations meeting in New York City, USA.
There is no doubt in my mind that this present occupant will do exactly what he says he wants to do: given any reason, he will destroy 27 million people and to hell with the consequences.
Winning and to hell with the consequences
At the moment, there are many world leaders just like this current occupant. They believe that winning at any price is okay as long as they and their families don’t have to pay the price of winning and don’t have to face those consequences.
I am still in shock that so many Americans supported this occupant even though he gave red flag after red flag during his campaign speeches.
For example, he said he loved war. No one asked what kind of war he loved. Did he love the Hollywood version where all the soldiers are always in clean, freshly pressed uniforms, have obviously received dental and other health care and have had enough sleep and food? Or, did he love the real war where body after body comes home in black body bags and real soldiers come back disabled or mentally ill?
For example, he said he admired Putin. How can anyone who understands American democracy admire a communist dictator or any kind of dictator?
No one challenged him about this. Not one person.
For example, when fighting broke out in his gatherings, not once did he stop and say to the fighters:
” This is America. We settle things at the ballot box, or in the court system. There will be no fighting at my events.”
Again, no one challenged his lack of appropriate response.
The American Press
Where was the American press, the Fourth Estate, the ones the Founding Fathers depended on to ask the hard questions and demand answers, to point out the facts and to broadcast truth?
Instead of asking questions and demanding answers, the newsmen were gathering points for getting their little gold statues, winning advertising dollars at any price, doing what so many world leaders at the moment including the present occupier of the White House: winning at any price and to hell with the consequences.
We, also, observe example after example of corporate leaders being willing to win at any price so long as they and their families don’t have to endure the consequences.
Jessi Khohihagen wrote in today’s Life Book Blog http://mylifebook.com/blog/the-other-person-is-never-the-problem/
”Everything that upsets us about others can lead us to a greater understanding of ourselves, if we choose it.
No matter how much they irritate us, don’t share our same beliefs, or don’t do things the way we like, we are ultimately responsible for how we choose to respond (and for the consequences those responses have on our lives).
And this doesn’t only mean our external, verbal responses. It means our inner responses — the mental, emotional, energetic reactions that are triggered in the deepest parts of our being, and the destruction (or growth) these responses can cause in our lives.”
I choose to respond to this morning’s speech by remembering that nothing is free and everything comes at a price.
I do not know the cost of peace. It might be a cost I’m not willing to pay. Recall that the American president, President Richard Nixon said that “peace is greater than the absence of war”.
I do not know what peace is. I doubt that anyone knows. I cannot recall a time when this planet was without war.
Martin Luther King and Gandhi pointed the way to non-violence, not peace. Non-violence is not peace.
So, my responsibility is to find out what real peace is, and make that such a powerful part of the inner me that I continuously reflect this in the outer world.
The only way I know to do this is to ask the angels, archangels, and company of heaven for help.
Call to the Angels
Angels, Archangels, Company of Heaven,
Thank you for answering my call. I invite all humans to be part of this call and its consequences.
I know that you, the heavenly beings, know how dire the situation on this planet is: we, who live on a lovely, gracious planet that supplies us with an abundance of all good are in big trouble and have been for many generations.
Many of us humans have known for a very long time that there is no excuse for the famine, thirst, and hostility that exists on our planet. We have known for a very long time that there is more than enough of all good for everyone to be filled to overflowing, and there still be plenty left over.
We have known that it is many of our own rules and our obedience to them that have created hate-filled situations.
Lead us to right action and right knowing so that everyone on this planet experiences living in the overflow of all good, including the all good of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
Help us to understand what true peace is and the cost of that peace. It might be a cost that all of us are more than willing to pay.
For example, part of the price of peace might be giving up beliefs and rules that don’t make peace.
Perhaps, peace is a very simple, easy thing to achieve.
We, the company of the planet Earth, don’t know.
Help us know.
And, so it is.
