Apothecary Soul Medicine

Remember the old fashion drug stores?  The ones where the pharmacist mixed the medicine instead of buying it from large distribution centers?

They had a certain odor, a certain style, and, a certain order. They were called Apothecaries.

Sometimes, we need medicine for our bodies, but, what about our souls? What about the times when we need something for ourselves just to keep going?

Turns out we need a special Apothecary; one I call Soul Medicine.

I painted the soul medicines called Freedom, the big bowl in the center; the medicine called Generosity, Kindness, Heart, the large goldish-greenish-orangey bowl upper left; the medicine called Courage, the triangular blueish shape on the right; the medicine called Faith next to the blueish shape; and on the bottom shelves medicine called Trust, Abundance and Wisdom.

This painting is not finished. I added Hope the other day.

What surprised me is that the Prosperity bowl was so small and the Generosity-Kindness-Heart bowl was so large.

I sit in front of this painting everyday and simply drink in whatever message it has for me.

Feel free to make your own Apothecary painting or drawing or set up some empty jars that you label with different soul medicines.

Since I painted this, I now save every interesting jar that comes my way. I haven’t labeled them yet because I have the painting.

I like the idea of saving and labeling jars; this is easy and simple; it will be easy to add different soul medicines to the collection, the Apothecary.

Have fun doing this.

And, as always, ask the angels for guidance.

Hugs,

Barbara
