Choosing Leadership

Hello Everyone,

What if the solution to the world’s problems is for leaders and followers to exchange roles? That is, followers become leaders; leaders become followers.

Until recently, the strategy was for most of the world’s people to be followers.

This was fine with us followers. We would rather do what we do than be burdened with all the tasks leaders must do.

However, many followers are looking down the road to the place where current leaders are taking us and saying, “Ahha. I don’t think so.”

 The Follower’s Job

We did our job as followers: we carefully selected the leaders who seemed to know what to do to bring us the elements of life we prefer. We gave them the support they demanded, and then went on our way hoping that somehow, someway we would get what we wanted.

This strategy isn’t working. Most followers aren’t getting their preferences and requirements.

What if we did something new? What if today’s followers became leaders?

All of us. Right now.

What if we took whatever leadership roles required to bring forth the newness we desire?

What if we stopped waiting for others to do something, but, instead, we became decision makers about what to do, when and where and how?

Becoming a Leader

Oh, I don’t mean nationally or internationally, but what if in our communities and families instead of playing the role of follower, we adopted the role of leader?

What would our life look like if we made the change?

This is such a new idea for me that I don’t know what to image, but I know a group of people who does: the angels. I’m asking the angels to show us and guide us.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We are so very grateful that you are part of our life. We are thankful for your guidance, support and protection. We give thanks each time we see a glimpse of you or feel your presence.

Angels, we are simply so very grateful for your being here.

Thank you for the new idea of stepping out of our role as followers and into a role of leadership.

Today, we consider that change.

Until now, we have been content with being a follower. We have done the work of follower with ease. Now, however, we are considering a change.

We are giving serious thought to being a leader, to adopting a leadership role.

Not only do we not know how to do this, we don’t know if this is wise. After all, most humans are followers. Yet, here we are considering a change.

The Trimmings of Leadership

At the moment, we’re not focused on the trimmings of leadership: the money, the attention, the possessions, the relationships; rather we are concerned about the tasks of leadership, about what goes on behind closed doors, about the deal making and about the world view that leaders must have to be effective.

Our real concern is not the name we are called or the role we play, but the results we bring forth. Our main question “Is being a leader the best way to bring forth our preferences?” gets answered.

We are grateful for all the insight you bring to us. We are thankful that we are led to the change that is best for us.

We are grateful that no matter which role we play—follower or leader—your guidance, nurturance and support helps us be the best.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Variations of Light and Dark

May 11, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I spent yesterday, Mother’s Day 2015, at the Spruill Art Center near Atlanta, GA. The discussion was about value, the degrees of lightness, darkness and everything in between light and dark that show up in works of art.

Light, dark and in between these appear in our personal lives, also. All are needed to bring forth a great life.

It’s difficult to accept this because most of us hate the periods of darkness and with good reason. These dark periods of our life seem heavy, unbearable and never ending. We want to pass thru them easily and quickly.

When in darkness, it’s important to remember that we are surrounded by light. The areas of in between are our passage way to this light. In other words, there is a way out of darkness, out of what we call ‘the bad times’.

Even though we know this, it’s nice to have someone remind us of how to get to the light, someone who will tell us that “That all is well; that this too shall pass; and, everything is and will be okay”.

I call upon the angels for this very purpose. Join me in that call.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We give thanks for your presence in our life. We know you are messengers, supporters and helpers. We are grateful for your information, encouragement and guidance.

We have come to understand that the light, the dark and all their variations are required in order to have a life lived well.  These values and how we use them give our life majesty and greatness. For this understanding and our use of it, we give thanks.

At the moment, many of us are in a dark period. Even though we know this won’t last, we ask for your guidance to pass through this darkness as easily and effortlessly as possible.

Some of us are having a difficult time forgiving those who brought on the darkness. Help us to forgive and let go.

Also, we ask to clearly understand our part in creating this dark period so that we don’t think or believe or do whatever our part in this is again.

We ask that we be guided to one of the many passage ways that take us from dark to light.

We ask that as we go from dark to less dark , and then to even lesser dark that we easily identify and receive the ideas, information, energy and support that will aid our safe passage.

We give thanks and our grateful for all that the Angels of All of Us do for us.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for downloading Put Hand to Plow, get what you want. I deeply appreciate and value your answer to my call to action. Thank you.

Now that you have a copy of the book, it is my hope that you will read it; put the information to use; and gain mightily from so doing.

Let’s ask the angels of all of us for support in accomplishing this.

Angels of All of Us

Angels,

We are so grateful that we know you exist. We give thanks that you give us support and nurturance, ideas and information daily.

We know that you support us in getting what we want. We are grateful that we now have a system for bringing forth the desires of our heart.

We give thanks that guidance on how to use this system, the creative process, effectively, continuously comes to us.

We give thanks for a deeper understanding of universal law.

We are grateful that we are becoming fantastic receivers and fabulous givers.

We take time to celebrate and rejoice in our getting and our giving.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

A Dose of Work

August 18, 2013

Hello,

I saw the doctor Friday.  When I said I wanted something other than drugs to solve my problem, she nodded and said, “Drugs are for people who won’t do the work of getting and staying healthy, and sometimes, drugs are the only answer for regaining health and surviving.”

I was struck by “won’t do the work”.

Most of us know the work that has to be done for health—physical, mental, emotional, financial and spiritual; most of us know there is no drug or substitute for this work; and, most of us do our best to do all of this work.

And, sometimes, we don’t get the results we’re working for, or we get overwhelmed with work, or, we simply are unable to keep the faith that work produces the results we desire; it’s then that we go to the angels and God for help.

Prayer and conversations with the angels can bring miracles as well as the results work is supposed to bring.

By the way, the doctor recommended massage as the way to solve my problem.  I’m, also, adding a nice dose of angel and God work.

Love,

Barbara
