Free offer

Feb. 8, 2016

Hi Everyone,
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, for the next several months only, I am offering free coaching sessions around the topic of money.

Free means free. I am not selling anything. I might suggest that you sign up for another free session but that will be the extent of my suggestions.

Why Money
Why money: the topic of money instead of love because money problems seem to be a major source of tension in almost all relationships.

Handle the money, handle the tension.

Please go to BarbaraSLucas.com (https://www.barbaraslucas.com/); under “Sessions with Barbara” find my scheduler and select a time.

Sessions take an hour; have paper and pencil handy.

If none of those times work for you, please contact me at bslucas@bellsouth.net. Perhaps a time can be worked out.

Please put free in the subject field.

Why Me
I have been studying the subject of how-to-unblock-the-flow-of-money-into our-personal-life for several years now—maybe a decade or more—and have finally found two coaching techniques that actually work.

Both are non-predatory. Notice I’m not using the words simple, quick or easy. Notice that I’ve said that I’ll probably suggest another session.

In fact, the first time I had a coaching session that used one of these techniques I only had a slight change but that change was enough to make me go back for another session when something else major came up in my life. I had about six or seven sessions before I was real change in my life.

I have observed that this is so for most of us: change comes step-by-step.

So. I invite you to take advantage of this offer.

Suppose
Just think for a moment: “Suppose I were to tell you that you were carrying around a hidden money block that was actually setting your income, debt and savings amounts. Setting means that you can’t—no matter how much you try or what you do—go beyond this amount.

If you knew that you would be stuck at this level until you unblocked, would you want to unblock?

Would you want to reset this amount to a higher amount?”

If your answer is yes, then take advantage of this free offer.

In the spirit of my Christmas Challenge—silently greet everyone you meet with:

You are perfect just the way you are, and I love you.

Choosing Leadership

Hello Everyone,

What if the solution to the world’s problems is for leaders and followers to exchange roles? That is, followers become leaders; leaders become followers.

Until recently, the strategy was for most of the world’s people to be followers.

This was fine with us followers. We would rather do what we do than be burdened with all the tasks leaders must do.

However, many followers are looking down the road to the place where current leaders are taking us and saying, “Ahha. I don’t think so.”

 The Follower’s Job

We did our job as followers: we carefully selected the leaders who seemed to know what to do to bring us the elements of life we prefer. We gave them the support they demanded, and then went on our way hoping that somehow, someway we would get what we wanted.

This strategy isn’t working. Most followers aren’t getting their preferences and requirements.

What if we did something new? What if today’s followers became leaders?

All of us. Right now.

What if we took whatever leadership roles required to bring forth the newness we desire?

What if we stopped waiting for others to do something, but, instead, we became decision makers about what to do, when and where and how?

Becoming a Leader

Oh, I don’t mean nationally or internationally, but what if in our communities and families instead of playing the role of follower, we adopted the role of leader?

What would our life look like if we made the change?

This is such a new idea for me that I don’t know what to image, but I know a group of people who does: the angels. I’m asking the angels to show us and guide us.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We are so very grateful that you are part of our life. We are thankful for your guidance, support and protection. We give thanks each time we see a glimpse of you or feel your presence.

Angels, we are simply so very grateful for your being here.

Thank you for the new idea of stepping out of our role as followers and into a role of leadership.

Today, we consider that change.

Until now, we have been content with being a follower. We have done the work of follower with ease. Now, however, we are considering a change.

We are giving serious thought to being a leader, to adopting a leadership role.

Not only do we not know how to do this, we don’t know if this is wise. After all, most humans are followers. Yet, here we are considering a change.

The Trimmings of Leadership

At the moment, we’re not focused on the trimmings of leadership: the money, the attention, the possessions, the relationships; rather we are concerned about the tasks of leadership, about what goes on behind closed doors, about the deal making and about the world view that leaders must have to be effective.

Our real concern is not the name we are called or the role we play, but the results we bring forth. Our main question “Is being a leader the best way to bring forth our preferences?” gets answered.

We are grateful for all the insight you bring to us. We are thankful that we are led to the change that is best for us.

We are grateful that no matter which role we play—follower or leader—your guidance, nurturance and support helps us be the best.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Love Isn’t Always Soft and Sweet

Feb. 16, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I overheard a conversation about the events unfolding in the Middle East. One of the speakers made the comment that love was the answer.

I wonder if she realizes that love means sending to the Light those who are soul sick as well as  those who have destroyed their souls. No amount of rehabilitation, forgiveness or mercy will cure them.  Only the Light can transform them into love.

I wonder if she knows that justice is the job of the government, that forgiveness is the job of people, and that love is the job of God.

I wonder if she knows that some behaviors are unacceptable period. Over and over again, when we, the world’s people, have buried our heads in the sand instead of facing this fact, situations have gotten worse, instead of disappearing or improving.

It is time we ask the angels for help in knowing that love isn’t always soft and gentle, but includes the tough things like pulling the plug on those who are dead, fighting a war no one but the soul sick or those who have no souls want and sending to the Light those who do the acts the world’s people consider unacceptable.

Ask the Angels

Angels of all of us,

We are so very grateful that we know you exist and are available to us at all times. We give thanks that we can speak with you and get help with any situation we’re facing.

We know that you know what’s happening in our world; we ask for help. We ask for the ideas, information, energy and support to bring about a change.

We’re not certain of the specifics of the change we want to see. Give us a vision of how things could be. Let this vision include details on what each of us is to be and do to bring this vision into physical form.

Let this vision teach us the meaning of love, the love that God has, the love that takes a stand on what is acceptable and what isn’t.

We know that love is harmony, balance, joy and understanding.  We know it’s more equality,  honesty and freedom then is present on our planet at the moment.

We know we are willing to let go of any idea or behavior that would disrupt life. We know that tolerance and acceptance will be part of the vision.

Angels,

We are so grateful for your support and nurturance.  We give thanks for our vision and for our increased understanding of love.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Mission Statements

June 22, 2014

Hi,

An amazing thing happened this week: I re wrote my personal mission statement; change showed up immediately; and I’m amazed at the speed.

The Call That Changed My Mission
The caller was stating all the reasons she couldn’t do what the social worker was asking of her. As she spoke, stories of people who’ve been through hell and back floated through my mind.

Very little was being asked of this woman, yet she refused to even consider ways to meet these requests.

That evening, I asked God what I was doing to attract such calls: calls that didn’t allow me to fulfill my calling of providing information and guidance to those who are starting over after adversity strikes.

Clarity
It seems I was confused about who I am to serve.

It seems that my people are doers, achievers and learners. They do what is asked of them and more. They understand and live by the Law of Compensation: what you give is what you get; what you withhold is withheld from you.

My people know that they have been successful and will be so again. What they are going through now is just a minor bump in the road.

They call me for the information and guidance needed to get through this road bump.

Instant Acceptance
As I received this message, I accepted it immediately. I knew I was hearing truth.

Results
All of my calls since then have been from people who seek wisdom and guidance and who don’t argue or fuss. When the call ends, I feel the caller’s peace.

Perhaps it is time for all of us to gain clarity about our mission, who we are to serve and the form that service is to take; perhaps it’s time that all of us help those we serve gain peace, and then, feel that peace within our Self.

It’s time to ask the angels for clarity of mission and who we are to serve.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of all of us,

We are grateful for all we have, and all we be and do. We give thanks that we are clear about our gifts and talents. We can name each one. We accept these gifts and talents.

We recognize that each of us is a genius in at least one area. We recognize that we are experts and masters of our gifts.  We give thanks for this recognition and this mastery.

This knowledge of Self has brought us much peace; for that we give thanks.

Now we asked that we be given additional information: who are we to serve and how. We give thanks for this information.

We are grateful for the clarity this knowledge brings. We accept the change this knowledge might bring.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

The Challenge of Change

May 13, 2014

Hi,

I have written several posts about the Nigerian kidnapped girls and have published none.

I wanted a way forward and none was coming forth.  About the sixth writing, I finally realized that the event was exposing extreme fear of change.

The Blessing of Change

Change can bring great blessings.  Change brought travel to the moon and all the by-products of that effort.  Change brought vaccines and the death of many of the scourges of the earth such as polio and small pox.  Change has brought agricultural practices that have resulted in most of us having access to more than enough food at all times.

Change can be very uncomfortable, but without it life cannot expand.   Our mission is to grow who and what we are.  This means we let go of limits from the past  in order to go beyond self, family, society or cultural boundaries.

Facing the reality of  “the good ole days” is the easiest way to do this.

The Good Ole Days

Take a good, long look at the past.  Do you really want to go back to a time:

  • when there was little medical or dental knowledge, or good health and medical practices;
  • when fear of the powerful reined instead of a court system dedicated to fairness and justice for all;
  • or, when myths and lies were generated about various peoples and couldn’t be verified because travel and communication were almost nonexistent?

Instead of romancing the past, find out how people actually lived.  How did they get food, water, clothing and shelter?  Few of us would willingly give up the ease with which we can get these necessities today in order to return to some glorified, fantasized past.

The Nigerian Kidnappers

The Nigerian kidnappers appear to have a longing to return to a long-ago past.  I wonder if any of them have considered what that actually means, or if they know the true reality of their longed-for past.

I wonder if they realize that they are being used by evil.  You see, evil seldom attacks the present, but always attacks what will be, especially if that future in any way stops its nastiness.

Overcoming Road Blocks

The fact that many of these captured women have chosen to become teachers, doctors and lawyers displays their desire to be of service to their families, communities and to Nigeria.  Looking into the future and seeing how these women bring change to Nigeria one instantly understands why evil is shaking in its boots.  It’s days are truly numbered and will soon end.

These women, like all of us who serve, are strong and powerful.  All of us, including these women, will find a way to overcome every road block.

We remember that sometimes the best way to overcome something is to not challenge it, but to go around, over or under the block.  Evil has a hard time fighting what refuses to engage it.

Walking around, over, or under evil is not simple or easy.  We ask the angels to help.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

Many of us are faced with the challenge of overcoming something that is trying to stop us from expanding to something new and greater than what we are presently experiencing.

We recognize that sometimes when we stop resisting, the block instantly dissolves.  We know that often, instead of challenging, the best way to stop a block is to go under it, or around it, or over it.

And, we, also, know that sometimes we have no choice but to stand and fight.

We accept your guidance in knowing the best actions to take.  We feel your guidance at all times.  We understand it and put it to good use.

We know we are surrounded by and thus protected by you.  We know that evil cannot win, that no matter what it does, it fails.   We, also, know that often we are the cause of its failure.

We rejoice and give thanks for your continual guidance, presence and protection.

Thank you, angels of all of us.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara
