Heal Terrorism: Go Within

Aug. 1, 2016

Hi Everyone,

How does one heal the anger and fear that results in terrorism? For that matter, how does one heal anger and fear?

I sent a link last week to Jennifer Handley’s class on Heal the Terrorist Within. Jennifer Handley is a Course in Miracles master.

I hope that many of you listened to and gained insight from that class.

Anger Is

It is helpful to know that anger is caused by fear. Fear is usually a result of some past event that we haven’t healed, that still hurts only we have dulled the pain and don’t want the hurt disturbed so it won’t hurt so much. Most of us have hidden this pain deep within us.

For example, you might be angry about a divorce. Underneath the anger might be the fear that your next relationship will end the same way, or fear of rejection and abandonment, or fear of abuse and violence, or fear of being used and taken advantage of. All of this hurts.

In fact, you might be so angry about this that you are doing terrorist acts such as yelling or throwing things or having accidents or ending relationships or getting fired.

You might be so angry that you deeply hurt people, animals and things. Instead of anger, you might be suffering from rage.

As the Course in Miracles teaches: every bit of anger adds to the worlds anger. To subtract or lessen the world’s anger, eliminate your own. This is the greatest thing you can do to end terrorism: recognize and end your own.

Healing Terrorism

You probably didn’t go to a healer or counselor or therapist to get help with dissolving this pain and its many possible causes.  Go now.

You probably didn’t go to your personal self-heal tool bag and use visioning or visualization or story-retelling or intuitive painting or affirmative prayer or affirmations or a burning bowl ceremony or Ho’oponopono-clearing or tapping (emotional freedom technique) . Use these tools now.

You probably didn’t have a long, heart-to-heart talk with your soul and your angels. Do both now.

I repeat: the greatest thing you can do to end terrorism is recognize and end your own practice of it.

Handling Difficulty

Yes. You are correct. This is hard, hard, hard work. There is nothing simple or easy about it.

Constantly talk with and listen to your soul and your angels. Do what they say.

Do help with this, I will spend the next few weeks naming and explaining the tools everyone should have in their personal self-heal tool bag.

Peace,

Rev. Barbara

Choose

Dec. 7, 2015

Hi Everyone,

What are the steps to getting what we want?

Those steps are:

Step 1:  Choose

Step 2:  Speak

Step 3:   Act

From the Field of Infinite Possibilities, we decide what we want. Once we make our choice, we describe it in great detail (Law of Mental Equivalence).

We state our intention to have this thing out loud.   It doesn’t have to a shout or even to people. I’ve had my best results when I’ve simply stood and whispered to the Universe my desire.

Then, we take action. The Universe rarely hands us a finished product. It does hand us the raw materials of ideas, information, energy and support. It’s up to us to use the mold of our mental picture and the raw materials given to form into reality our choice.

Of these three steps, the hardest is Step 1: Choose.

Choosing
I give thanks daily for being born into a family, a community and a country that places few spoken, written or legal limitations on its citizens. However, there are the limits placed by tradition and family/cultural/social expectations.

For example, when I choose to get a college education instead of getting married, I was going against family and cultural norms. How I knew this was the right selection was all the support that continually showed up.

For example, getting a job that paid enough to pay first semester tuition and  getting a work-study job that paid enough to buy the gas for the family car I used to get to the college, having a dependable car to use, being able to stay at home so that I didn’t have to come up with housing and food costs, etc.

Many of us are at the point of choosing, but, there is no support for our choice yet because we haven’t made the selection; so, how do we know which to pick?

We go to the angels and ask.

Angels of All of Us,
We give thanks that we absolutely know that you and Mother/Father God exist. We need no proof; we know.

We give thanks that we know that we live in the overflow of all good. A major piece of that overflow is the field of all possibilities, the place where we find ourselves when it’s decision time.

We give thanks that there are no limits except the one’s we place on our self.

As we examine all the possible choices we can make, we ask that you nudge us toward the selections most suited for who we are really.

We give thanks for the valuable service given us by nay-sayers. Sometimes nay-sayers, the ones who always have reasons for not doing a thing, are the bringers of ideas. Their words make us aware of the possible side-effects, the unintended consequences, of a possibility.

We add their information to that received from you angels, and we give thanks. We have considered all factors and can now make our choice in peace.

Thank you for reminding us that our choice isn’t written in stone; we can choose and choose again as often as we so desire. Therefore, fear and doubt no longer plague us. We simply recognize them as part of our world and our beingness but not our rulers, or even our persuaders.

We give thanks that we live in a world that allows choice.

And so it is.
Peace,

Barbara

The Challenge of Change

May 13, 2014

Hi,

I have written several posts about the Nigerian kidnapped girls and have published none.

I wanted a way forward and none was coming forth.  About the sixth writing, I finally realized that the event was exposing extreme fear of change.

The Blessing of Change

Change can bring great blessings.  Change brought travel to the moon and all the by-products of that effort.  Change brought vaccines and the death of many of the scourges of the earth such as polio and small pox.  Change has brought agricultural practices that have resulted in most of us having access to more than enough food at all times.

Change can be very uncomfortable, but without it life cannot expand.   Our mission is to grow who and what we are.  This means we let go of limits from the past  in order to go beyond self, family, society or cultural boundaries.

Facing the reality of  “the good ole days” is the easiest way to do this.

The Good Ole Days

Take a good, long look at the past.  Do you really want to go back to a time:

  • when there was little medical or dental knowledge, or good health and medical practices;
  • when fear of the powerful reined instead of a court system dedicated to fairness and justice for all;
  • or, when myths and lies were generated about various peoples and couldn’t be verified because travel and communication were almost nonexistent?

Instead of romancing the past, find out how people actually lived.  How did they get food, water, clothing and shelter?  Few of us would willingly give up the ease with which we can get these necessities today in order to return to some glorified, fantasized past.

The Nigerian Kidnappers

The Nigerian kidnappers appear to have a longing to return to a long-ago past.  I wonder if any of them have considered what that actually means, or if they know the true reality of their longed-for past.

I wonder if they realize that they are being used by evil.  You see, evil seldom attacks the present, but always attacks what will be, especially if that future in any way stops its nastiness.

Overcoming Road Blocks

The fact that many of these captured women have chosen to become teachers, doctors and lawyers displays their desire to be of service to their families, communities and to Nigeria.  Looking into the future and seeing how these women bring change to Nigeria one instantly understands why evil is shaking in its boots.  It’s days are truly numbered and will soon end.

These women, like all of us who serve, are strong and powerful.  All of us, including these women, will find a way to overcome every road block.

We remember that sometimes the best way to overcome something is to not challenge it, but to go around, over or under the block.  Evil has a hard time fighting what refuses to engage it.

Walking around, over, or under evil is not simple or easy.  We ask the angels to help.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

Many of us are faced with the challenge of overcoming something that is trying to stop us from expanding to something new and greater than what we are presently experiencing.

We recognize that sometimes when we stop resisting, the block instantly dissolves.  We know that often, instead of challenging, the best way to stop a block is to go under it, or around it, or over it.

And, we, also, know that sometimes we have no choice but to stand and fight.

We accept your guidance in knowing the best actions to take.  We feel your guidance at all times.  We understand it and put it to good use.

We know we are surrounded by and thus protected by you.  We know that evil cannot win, that no matter what it does, it fails.   We, also, know that often we are the cause of its failure.

We rejoice and give thanks for your continual guidance, presence and protection.

Thank you, angels of all of us.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Syria

September 7, 2013

Hi,

Concerning Syria: it’s time to ask the angels for help: please read aloud–often:

Angels of all of us,

Thus is Rev. Barbara.  I speak for all of us on the planet Earth who desire a planet where all can enjoy health, prosperity, friendship and where all can grow and expand our talents, gifts, skills and contributions to Life.  I speak for all of us who know that love is the answer.

Angels of all of us, we know what happened in one of our nations, the nation of Syria.  We recognize that this is the expression of fear.  We know that our planet is in a birth process.  We are giving birth to something new and the old is scared, is afraid of giving way to the new, is afraid of going to the Light.

Angels of all of us, we know the old way to deal with Syria, the way of punishment, judgment and violence.  We know about non-violence, the way Gandhi and so many others taught.  We, also, know that we have to heal our own personal Syria before the conflict will end.

Therefore, angels of all of us, please identify for each of us,  our personal Syria–the new we are desiring to birth and the way our old is attempting to block this birth.  Please tell us in whatever way we receive clear, understandable communication from you.  Please tell us how to bring peace and ease to this birth.  Please help us to welcome the new and honor the old.

For we know, that when we heal the Self, our world, also, heals.

Thank you, angels of all of us; thank you for helping us.
