PTSD

Aug. 29, 2017

Hi Everyone,

Did you know that PTSD can happen to anyone experiencing any type of disaster or stressful situations including people who divorce, or have surgery, or have had to endure a foreclosure or repro of a car?

This weekend, I  took an online seminar about healing.

I’ve met two Holocaust survivors before this seminar. I have no doubt that it happened, that  it was horrifying and people are still suffering from it.

Attending the seminar was a woman born the year I was to parents who sheltered Jews in the Netherlands. Her mother lived in terror. Even after the war the mother was so terrified she wouldn’t leave the home. The  seminar attendee now my age was suffering from terrified inner child and PTSD from growing up in fear. I saw the terror in and on her and saw some of it dissolve.

This happening is a reminder to treat others with great kindness and gentleness because we just don’t know what another is dealing with.

Let us ask the angels of all of us to send extra healing and energy to those who are suffering and to those who feel the pain of others so deeply that they deny that the Holocaust or Sandy Hook happened.

Let us receive from the angels extra healing, energy, love and strength so that we can be a pillar of light and supply to those in need.

And so it is.

Variations of Light and Dark

May 11, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I spent yesterday, Mother’s Day 2015, at the Spruill Art Center near Atlanta, GA. The discussion was about value, the degrees of lightness, darkness and everything in between light and dark that show up in works of art.

Light, dark and in between these appear in our personal lives, also. All are needed to bring forth a great life.

It’s difficult to accept this because most of us hate the periods of darkness and with good reason. These dark periods of our life seem heavy, unbearable and never ending. We want to pass thru them easily and quickly.

When in darkness, it’s important to remember that we are surrounded by light. The areas of in between are our passage way to this light. In other words, there is a way out of darkness, out of what we call ‘the bad times’.

Even though we know this, it’s nice to have someone remind us of how to get to the light, someone who will tell us that “That all is well; that this too shall pass; and, everything is and will be okay”.

I call upon the angels for this very purpose. Join me in that call.

Angels of All of Us

Angels of all of us,

We give thanks for your presence in our life. We know you are messengers, supporters and helpers. We are grateful for your information, encouragement and guidance.

We have come to understand that the light, the dark and all their variations are required in order to have a life lived well.  These values and how we use them give our life majesty and greatness. For this understanding and our use of it, we give thanks.

At the moment, many of us are in a dark period. Even though we know this won’t last, we ask for your guidance to pass through this darkness as easily and effortlessly as possible.

Some of us are having a difficult time forgiving those who brought on the darkness. Help us to forgive and let go.

Also, we ask to clearly understand our part in creating this dark period so that we don’t think or believe or do whatever our part in this is again.

We ask that we be guided to one of the many passage ways that take us from dark to light.

We ask that as we go from dark to less dark , and then to even lesser dark that we easily identify and receive the ideas, information, energy and support that will aid our safe passage.

We give thanks and our grateful for all that the Angels of All of Us do for us.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Love Isn’t Always Soft and Sweet

Feb. 16, 2015

Hi Everyone,

I overheard a conversation about the events unfolding in the Middle East. One of the speakers made the comment that love was the answer.

I wonder if she realizes that love means sending to the Light those who are soul sick as well as  those who have destroyed their souls. No amount of rehabilitation, forgiveness or mercy will cure them.  Only the Light can transform them into love.

I wonder if she knows that justice is the job of the government, that forgiveness is the job of people, and that love is the job of God.

I wonder if she knows that some behaviors are unacceptable period. Over and over again, when we, the world’s people, have buried our heads in the sand instead of facing this fact, situations have gotten worse, instead of disappearing or improving.

It is time we ask the angels for help in knowing that love isn’t always soft and gentle, but includes the tough things like pulling the plug on those who are dead, fighting a war no one but the soul sick or those who have no souls want and sending to the Light those who do the acts the world’s people consider unacceptable.

Ask the Angels

Angels of all of us,

We are so very grateful that we know you exist and are available to us at all times. We give thanks that we can speak with you and get help with any situation we’re facing.

We know that you know what’s happening in our world; we ask for help. We ask for the ideas, information, energy and support to bring about a change.

We’re not certain of the specifics of the change we want to see. Give us a vision of how things could be. Let this vision include details on what each of us is to be and do to bring this vision into physical form.

Let this vision teach us the meaning of love, the love that God has, the love that takes a stand on what is acceptable and what isn’t.

We know that love is harmony, balance, joy and understanding.  We know it’s more equality,  honesty and freedom then is present on our planet at the moment.

We know we are willing to let go of any idea or behavior that would disrupt life. We know that tolerance and acceptance will be part of the vision.

Angels,

We are so grateful for your support and nurturance.  We give thanks for our vision and for our increased understanding of love.

And so it is.

Peace,

Barbara

Stinkin’ Thinkin’

Feb.8, 2015

Hi Everyone,

In my soon-to-be released book, Put Hand to Plow, I write about success beliefs. One of the most difficult of these to accept is that we are perfect, just as we are, right here and right now.

Most of us struggle accepting our perfection. We judge ourselves for all the things we do, believe or think that don’t seem just right. We think that God doesn’t approve of us; therefore, God doesn’t approve of our actions.

God is Pleased
The truth is that if God didn’t approve of us, we wouldn’t be here. Unless we have destroyed our soul, or are doing self-destructive acts leading to soul-destruction, God is pleased and delighted with us. God is charmed when we take action to be who we are really, and then act to expand who we are.

The truth is that ‘just not rightness’ and other judgments are caused by The Curse of Sameness and the Comparison Disease. In other words, our thinking tells us that we are perfect, or it tells us that we aren’t.

The Curse of Sameness
The Curse of Sameness is what the 12 Step programs call ‘stinkin thinkin’. The Curse of Sameness causes us to belief that we are all alike, that there are no differences. Nothing can be further from the truth. We were each given a different set of tasks to do during this lifetime and a different bundle of gifts, talents, skills and abilities to use to do those tasks.

The Comparison Disease
The Comparison Disease is another example of ‘stinkin thinkin’. The Comparison Disease causes us to compare what we do, be and have with what others be, do and have, and then find our self to be less than or better than others.

Again, this is far from the truth. Each of us is an equal; we were created by the one God and given the characteristics of God. Like God we are creators and organizers; not on the same scale as God, but creators and organizers none the less.

Perfection Defined
I am perfect when I am being, doing and having God’s ideas for me. Unless, we’ve been unusually influenced by others our ideas are the same as God’s. It can be no other way. God gives us our ideas, even the ideas that are about us.

Due to all of us being bombarded by a constant flow of ideas, we need help in recognizing those that are from God and those that are from other forces and sources. We go to the angels and ask for help in learning how to do this.

Angels of All of Us
Angels of all of us,

We are delighted that all of you surround us and are the invisible part of our world. We give thanks that you support, nurture and protect us. It is so fabulous that your beauty, warmth and love are shared with us.

Angels, we recognize that you are of God, the messengers of the Word spoken by God. We are grateful that you deliver and explain these holy words.

Many Words from Many Sources
As you know, we constantly receive many words from many sources; some of these sources are evil and destructive but are clothed in such a way that their true self is concealed. Often we don’t know the source until we are trapped in a self-destructive circumstance.

We asked that you help us develop the ability to know which words, which messages are evil, or are from evil.

We ask that we are protected from receiving these, but we know that evil can con, twist and deceive. Help us be on alert. Help us see beyond the words to the purpose of the speaker and deliverer.

Give us the strength to turn to love and the Light; to hear only true love and the true Light; to see beyond appearances to the core of what is being said and by whom.

Thank you, angels of all of us. We are grateful that you honor our requests.

And so it is.
Peace,

Barbara

Accepting the possible

Feb. 28, 2014

Hi,

Early in 2013, I wrote about the importance of having one idea.

The truth is all of us have many ideas.  We come up with possible solutions to problems and concerns all the time.

Problem
The problem is that most of us have been put-down so often for opening our mouths and allowing our thoughts to come-forth that we have become quiet.

This is very dangerous.  We are the answer to someone’s prayer.  We are the energy that unites with other energies to lift our world out of darkness into the Light.

We cannot afford to be silent even when we, our Selves, think our idea isn’t worthy.

Solution
The solution has two parts, perhaps more:

  • know that we are loved by God and therefore, have been gifted with many talents and skills including the skill of problem-solving
  • clear our space, including our inner-space, of negative energies.

Accept Who You Are Really
I know I keep harping on this, but this knowing will give you strength and courage.  Do the work in my book, Who Are You Really, or the work that has similar focus by other authors and persons of good will.

Clearing Space
Quietly keep your distance from critical, defeatists persons.  Keep your physical space including your car, clean and well maintained.  Follow the Twelve Step Programs mandate to change your playmates and playgrounds.

If you find that much about your life is toxic, like your job, your family, your church, your friends, then its time to quietly make some moves.

Let’s ask the angels for help with both of these ideas.

Angel Help

Angels of all of us,

Accepting that God loves us is difficult.  Make us know that this is so.  Let us know that because this is so we are powerful, creative, talented, skilled individuals.

Accepting that we are needed because we are the answer to someone’s prayer is, also, difficult.  Help us recognize and accept our personal value and worthiness.  Never let us forget that this is so: we are the answer to someone’s prayer; we are worthy and valuable.

We recognize that we must use our skill of empathy.  We must recognize and accept that there are toxic persons and situations in our life and world.  We accept the wisdom of acceptance instead of denial.  Help us to know when toxicity is present and give us the knowledge to deal with it.

Surround us with the protection of the Light.  Help us to accept the information that flows to us constantly and consistently.  Let us recognize truth.

I speak this word for all who are open and receptive to it.  I speak this word for all who desire to recognize and accept Truth, for it is from the Truth that all good flows including health, prosperity, empowering relationships and worthy contributions.

With great gratitude and thanksgiving, we accept Truth.  And so it is.

Blessed be,

Barbara

Angels Work

Dec. 5, 2013

Hi,

I wrote this poem several years ago.  A copy is in my book, Ask the Angels to.  I keep a copy near me because reading it gives me energy and hope.

Please copy and use.

ANGELS WORK

 Sensible angels write

Spreading light, fading darkness

Bringing jubilation.

Joyful angels sing

Expanding harmony, ending discord

Delivering peace.

Courageous angels stand

Declaring truth, halting confusion

Establishing freedom.

Mighty angels fly

Conveying power, confining fear

Building strength.

Patient angels listen

Giving acceptance, absorbing imperfection

Bestowing tranquility.

Wise angels teach

Imparting courage, preventing stagnation

Assuring victory.

Kind angels serve

Inspiring trust, hindering weariness

Revealing dignity.

Stately angels speak

Unfolding hope, disrupting doubt

Granting wisdom.

Beings of light, angels all

Shouting and dancing, laughing and twirling

Celebrating humans, each and every one.

Peace,

Rev. Barbara

Suicide and the Light

September 14, 2013

Hello,

My heart broke when I heard about the suicide of the 12-year-old girl in Florida.  Even though I know her angels were and are with her; even though I know the Archangel Michael gathered her in love and took her to the Light where she is forever held in love, I was and am so very sad.

I am a suicide survivor.  I know only too well how the words and demands of others can bring a person to do the unthinkable.  When I left my body and this planet, and approached the Light, I was sent back into this body and this time.  I did not want to return; I knew that if I could only reach and enter the Light, I would be forever cared for, loved and protected.

However, that was not to be.  As I got a certain distance from the Light, I was told “This is not yet your time.  You must return” and was returned to my body and to the place where I lived.

It is the memory of that experience that gives me great comfort; I know the Light exists; I know this place is one of welcome, love and peace; I know that no one is denied entry; I know that when it is my time, I will go to the Light.  I have no doubt.

Perhaps it was time for this child to return to the Father.  I know she is in love; I send her and her family, I send all those who have done this act, my love and know that all is well for all of them and will forever be so.

However, part of my sadness has to do with Syria and the work it and each of us is doing of birthing something new and of calming the old that must make way for this new thing; and, that this birthing process needs assistance that has yet to appear.

So, again, it’s time to speak with the angels:

Angels of all of us,

Help each of us to know that each of us is valued, appreciated and cherished; that each of us is a piece of the answer to the world’s prayer for peace, health and prosperity, that each of us is loved by God; that each of us is needed; that each of us has a new thing to birth, protect and nurture; that each of us must calm the old and give it reassurance that we honor the good that it did for us and our world.

Angels of all of us,

Please reveal your Self to each of us; please let each of us know that each of us has at least one angel with us at all times and that we are never alone, or unprotected, or without support and nurturance.  Please let each of us know that whatever assistance is needed to birth our new thing, you provide it now.

I, Rev. Barbara, make this request in full knowledge that it won’t be denied.

Angels of all of us,

Please make your presence known and, if the circumstance demands, please take out your swords of truth and power and put them to use.  For as much as we are servants of the Light, sometimes it is only the swords of angels that can defeat the servants of the dark.

Thank you, Angels of all of us.  Thank you for coming to our aid.  Thank you for loving and caring for us.  Thank you for helping us recognize and honor God and the Light.

Peace to all,

Rev. Barbara
